Manager of Embedded Systems Development Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing the hardware and software architecture designs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees system architecture designs. Identify key architecture components (processor, memory, communications, software languages…). Coordinates software resources for development projects. Collaborates with other software engineering managers to establish software development standards and development tools across software teams. Manages a team of software engineers and managers responsible for developing and sustaining software. Collaborates with all areas (regulatory, customer support, manufacturing, marketing…). Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities. Educations and/or Experience: BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field. 5 – 10 years embedded software development experience with demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated leadership skills Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to manage teams on complex projects.
